2 months without Drew...

is finally home!! Sadly just for the weekend...but

we are THRILLED!

These last two weeks Drew has had the wonderful opportunity to go to Texas and help out the plasma center down there. He is defiantly needed down there, but we have sure missed him here! He'll be in Texas for a totally of 2 months and one day. Drew's work has been awesome about the whole situation and are letting him come home every other weekend, and letting me fly out to Texas over our anniversary! We have officially survived the first two weeks and have been having a blast having him home this weekend.

Yesterday we watched Kangaroo Jack. Not the greatest show, but Cruz LOVED it!!

We also went shopping with daddy. Shopping with daddy is always SO much more fun!

We love having you home daddy, and hope these next couple weeks will fly by so we can enjoy you again!

Christmas Baby!

I'm going to pretend that this isn't my first post in years... way to much has happened to try and catch up so I'm just going to start posting again, and what a wonderful time of year to start! Christmas!

Our Christmas was amazing this year. It always is, but this year it just seemed that much better with a little Cruz man to enjoy it with. He is just over 2 years old now, and pretty much knows whats going on with Christmas. He seemed to grasp the idea of Santa, and enjoyed hearing of Christs birth. It amazes me how much a little 2 year old really seems to understand things.
The big day:

The amazing day started off with Cruz waking up at 6:30 in the morning to inform me that he was "Happy awake" (a daily ritual) I then proceeded to inform him that it was Christmas! We all ran out into the living room to see if Santa had come, and boy did he! At first he was just in shock that he could finally open up his presents, but he quickly got the hang of it, and was ripping into them in no time. He was such a blast.

We continued the day by heading to Drew's parents house. We carried on the tradition of Einstein bagels with chocolate milk, and opening presents by the arm full. Cruz got a little carried away, and would open a present, and then as soon as it was opened he would ask for another one! He got SO overly spoiled!

We then headed to my parents house to read the Christmas story from Luke 2, and open even more presents!

We continued to bounce back from our house, to my parents house, to the Bostocks house for the rest of the day.

Most of my wonderful family was able to be there and it was SO good to see them all! I hadn't seen Chris and Haylie for over a year, and it was so good to be able to see them and chat with them. They are so amazing. Dan, Drew's brother, was also able to come up for Christmas too, and it was so good seeing him as well.
We did miss Mike and Traci, and their beautiful girls, Ellanie, and Emberlyn, but we were still able to chat through Skype and texting, so we still seemed connected. (Missed you guys!!)
We got to chat with my amazing brother Adam who is on his mission in Mexico, and is loving every second of it. It was SO good to hear his voice and feel his amazing spirit reach to us through the phone.
I wish I could explain in words how thankful I am for such a wonderful, amazing family. I would have to say that being around family is defiantly my favorite things about the holidays! I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday as well!

Fourth of July

This fourth of July was so much fun!! We decided to go to the car show...apparently we haven't been there for many years...we had no idea that it actually cost money! So we just walked around the car show, and looked at all the cars through the fence. Cars are cool! We continued our walk to Willow park and swung on the swings.

After Willow Park, we went to a park just down from where we live and flew our little airplanes. Cruz, of course, loved it!

After the park we went to Sizzlers with my parents, Jackson, Melanie, Kevin and Grandma. We watch the Cruise in from inside Sizzlers while we ate.

Drew decided to give Cruz a lemon to see if he liked it...he actually did! He ate the entire thing(minus the peel)

Island Park & Fathers Day

Every year the Weston family goes to Island Park for a week or so, we were only able to make it up for the 1st weekend, but we sure managed to fill it up with a lot of fun stuff! Right when we got there we went four wheeling with Travis and Michele's family, Lora and Logan, and Jackson. Man was it a blast!

On Fathers day some of us went to Yellowstone. It was actually free for us to go into the park for the day! It was awesome! We got to see Old Faithful and a couple other geyser. It was SWEET!

9 Months Old!!

I really can't believe how fast time flies by! Cruz is already 9 months old! Man, he is just the cutest, and best kid in the whole wide world! I'm so thankful that he is a part of my crazy life! He has been sick these last few days, and hasn't been able to keep anything down so taking him to his 9 month appt was not so fun. He only weighs a pound more then he did at his 6 month appt. :( Not so cool. His latest stats are... Weight: 18 lbs 7.5 oz. He is in the 25 percentile. Height: 28 3/4 inches. He is in the 75 percentile. So there you have it! Here are so a recent pics of the little cutie!

Just in case you didn't know it, my little one is totally amazing. He has been crawling for over a month now, and has now started "cruzin" along the funiture. I just thought I would post a couple pictures of him in action...sorry he doesn't have pants on in these pictures. Thank goodness he is a baby!

I have always hated doing the dishes. Especially at my house, until recently...Cruz loves it when I do the dishes! Its so entertaining now! He can play forever at the dish washer while I finish up the dishes. I honestly love doing the dishes now! I'm just glad Cruz can't crawl up onto the dish washer yet...then the hating will start all over again! As for now I'm lovin' doing my dishes!

This last weekend we were able to go camping...err..kind of camping with Drew's family. We actually didn't technically go camping, but they did! In the Sunshine State

We officially went on our first family Vacation, and man was it GREAT! It first started out packing...anyone who knows us, we like to do things "inexpensively" so we didn't want to have to pay for more then one bag. We packed it the night before, and measured and weighed it and hoped it wasn't over the 50 lb limit. We got to the airport and it was exactly 50 lbs! EXACTLY! Crazy eh? Yea, we are good! On the flight home, it weighed exactly 50 as well, and that time we didn't even have a scale!

Anyway, that was only the beginning. The trip just continued to get better and better. Cruz did pretty good (definitely not great) on the flight down, and then was great for the rest of the trip. We didn't pack his pack-n-play because of the weight issue so we had him sleep in the closet...I promise it wasn't child abuse!! It actually worked out great, and he loved it.

This is the sweet car we got as a rental. We were suppose to be getting the smallest cheapest car in the place, but they were out of them...so we got this! Yeah, we got lucky.

Florida was awesome. I always imagined it would be beautiful, and it sure is! So green, and just chuck full of vegetation. I loved it!

While we were there we were able to go down memory lane for Drew (that's were he went on his mission) It was so awesome. He just came alive with stories, he was like a kid in a candy store for the first time. It was a really neat experience to see that part of his life.

We were also able to visit a family he taught while he was there. They were so amazing, and fed us delicious food. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water!

We also visited the beautiful Orlando Temple. Unfortunately it was closed for cleaning so we weren't able to go through a session.

We got to go to Disney World too! A guy that Drew knew from his mission worked there and was able to give us the hook ups which worked out wonderfully for us :) It was a lot of fun! I would have to say our favorite park was Animal Kingdom. Here are a couple pictures... Sorry this post is chuck full of pictures...

The beach was a blast, that's what I was really excited about. Don't worry, we didn't get a tan or anything...I was a little bummed, but it was sure beautiful.

It was a wonderful well needed trip. It always seems like they go by way to fast though. I'm glad we enjoyed it while it lasted! Now its time to plan for our next adventure...hopefully to Oregon!

6 months old...and some.

Cruz is approximately 6 months and 15 days old. He is such a wonderful baby, and I just thought I needed to up date the world on how he is growing! At his six month check up he weighed 17lbs. 1 oz. (50th percentile) and 27 inches long (75th percentile). Here are a couple things that he has been up to!

He loves to be on the go.
He is constantly on the move.
He hates to sit, and when you hold him on your lap he insists on standing up.
He loves to play with his feet.
He is able to sit up.
He loves bath/shower time.
He is constantly drooling, but still no teeth yet.
He loves playing copy cat.
He learned how to drink out of a sippy cup.

I sure am proud of our little boy, and am so thankful for his sweet spirit that he brings into our home. I'm constantly in awe as I watch him grow and learn. What a beautiful blessing it is to be a mother.

This past week Lora and I went up to my sisters house. Lora and Michele get together ever week to do some type of craft for their home, and this past week I got to join them! It was so much fun! We made blocks that spelled Lucky for St Patricks Day. Here is the finally product! I'm might proud of how they turned out! My favorite part was just hanging out with Lora and Michele! It really seems like time has just flown by, and we never really get to just hang out any more. It was just so much fun just being together. Hopefully one of these days we can get all the gals in our family together and just chill. Just thinking about it gets me excited! We should get planning an all gal trip...I put Lora in charge :) Well anyway, Cruz absolutly loved it as well. He was just full of life when we were there. Here is Cruz and Jaisa just hanging out. I sure love that they are so close in age!! Man, isn't family just the greatest?!

Drew and I take turns every Sunday on who gets to wake up and hang out with Cruz in the morning and who gets to sleep in. This last Sunday it was my turn to sleep in. Can I just say I truly love sleeping in, and always have, but since this new rule I always end up getting up just to see my boys playing/hanging out together. Man, Drew is the greatest daddy ever! After hanging out with us all morning Drew got Cruz to sleep and I was able to get some pretty adorable pictures. This one was my Fav!!

Time has been flying by, but I think it was last week Drew and I got dream tickets from his aunt and uncle to the Jazz game! It was amazing! We honestly had the best seats in the house, plus they continued to give us drinks and treats throughout the game!

Its about time! Sorry I fell off the face of the earth for awhile, but I am back...for now. Hopefully I won't fall into the same rut!(looks like I did) Anyway, its crazy how fast time flies by! I guess it does get pretty busy once you have a little one! Cruz has grown SO much...and he just seems to gets more and more adorable every day! He has started laughing!

Here is a little video of one of his first laughs! I would shake my hair and he would laugh so hard! It was SO cute! My voice is SO annoying, so sorry in advance for that.

Lately he has seemed to have more of a personality then ever. Since he was born he has been a pretty serious kid, and I thought he was going to stay that way...little did I know that he was soon going to be smiling and talking non stop in no time! Its so cute! This last Sunday he found his voice when we went over to my parents house. He usually just looks around wide eyed. Then on Sunday he was looking around everywhere and just yelping! Its so adorable!! He has also rolled over a handful of times, which is exciting. My favorite thing though, is his smile! I just melt everytime I see it! He really is just a happy-go-lucky kid and I sure hope he stays that way.

Cruz also went swimming for the first time over the Christmas break with our family. It was so much fun! Of course the whole time he was trying to figure out what was going on, but no crying or screaming! We were really impressed!

Lincoln Cruz Bostock

We officially have a new member of the family... Cruz Bostock! I have to admit I was getting a little impatient because Joni ended up having Carter a whole month early, but he came! Cruz came into this world on his due date, September 17th, 2008. He weighed 7lbs 15 oz, and was 2o inches long. He came out a bright eyed child, and completly perfect! While we were in the Hospital he did have low blood sugar, and ended up needing to be on oxygen, but to us he was as perfect as they come. He ended up have to spend 2 days in the NICU, but we were all able to come home together on the 19th of September. We did get to bring home oxygen, and billi lights to help with Jaundice as well, but we were absolutly thrilled that we got to bring him home. We didn't have to keep him on the lights for to long(it seemed like forever) but on Sept 23rd we got to get ride of the lights, and then we officially got to get rid of the oxygen on the 26th of Sept. It was pretty exciting to have a normal baby after that! While he was on the lights we couldn't hold him unless he was feeding, so the only time Drew got to hold him was to burp him after he fed, so we were thrilled to get rid of the lights! Cruz has been such a great baby!! We got a little excited after we got rid of the lights, and now he can't seem to fall asleep with out being in our arms...oops we just like him a little too much! We sure are thankful to our family and friends that have been helping us out so much this last while. It's amazing how everything seems to work out just fine when you have the help of family and friends, and the amazing power of prayer. Thanks everyone for all the love and support, and for the prayers! We love you all

White Pine

Last weekend Derek, Chelsea, Drew and I hiked up to beautiful White Pine. Justin was also there for a bit. It was the perfect time of year to go! Flowers were everywhere! We had a blast hiking in! We also went fishing, and stayed over night there. It was a perfect little get away.

I had my work party on July 10th. It was way fun, but the real fun was just getting there.

Oh the fun! I was seriously so worried about the car on that dirt road. I don't even know if I would call it a dirt road, it was less then that. I had my hand over my mouth pretty much the whole time trying not to freak out. Once we got back we really didn't have on scratch on our car, just an amazing story.

Best Friends Wedding

I just realized I haven't even made a post for Chris and Haylie's Wedding!! So here it is.
The adorable couple got married in May! It was the sweetest wedding I think I've ever been to! The got married in the San Diego Temple and it was perfect!! I can't believe how perfect they are for each other! I'm so glad that Haylie is part of our family!! I love and miss you guys!

Real Salt Lake/David Beckham

This last Saturday, Drew and I went to the Real Salt Lake Game and it was totally cool. We had pretty good seats, and we had a blast! We have always been a big fan of Real Salt Lake, but this time we were cheering for both sides, and apparently it worked, it ended up being a tie, 2 to 2. David Beckham scored both of Galaxy's points we got to see the pro in action. It was incredible to actually see David Beckham in real life! Man, soccer is SO cool!

Don't we look so ready to have a child!

I'm sorry to say, but Drew and I really aren't all that great at keeping up with this. But at the request of my dear sister Joni, I will make an attempted again. Just to keep you all up to speed, Drew and I are getting ready to have our first baby! We are truly excited. We have been trying to be patient on finding out if its a boy or a girl, but it just seems like we will never know. There is always some issue...like the babies legs crossed, thinking the appointment was on a completely different day. Its been pretty annoying but I believe, if all goes right we will be finding out tomorrow, Monday April 21, at 11:00. At this point its hard to be excited, but hard not to be!! I will definitely let you all know when we find out. Its pretty exciting to be pregnant! Joni and I have always wanted to be pregnant at the same time, and now we are! Its pretty crazy, we are due only 3 days apart! I'm due on the 15th of September, just so you know. Its also fun because my sister Michele, and sister-in-law Traci are all pregnant as well! Its nice knowing if I have any worries I have many people I can turn to, and they'll know exactly what I'm going through!

Christmas time!

I started a post a long time ago for Christmas, and never sent it out, so here are some of the Pictures from our wonderful Christmas back in Utah! It was nice this year to be able to spend it with family again. Last year it was just Drew and I in New York, still awesome, but family is always nice to have around this time of year!

Our Thanksgiving!

This Thanksgiving was....wonderful, and insane. Last Night Drew's family and I went to Best Buy to try and take advantage of all the great deals that we always hear about, and we did. It was a long cold night, but it was well worth all of the trouble. We were able to get everything that we had wanted there so it was nice to know we didn't do all that hard work for nothing. We actually planned our Thanksgiving around the deals at Best buy.

We had our Thanksgiving dinner at noon prepared by Cindy, who is a magnificent cook, and we were at Best Buy by 1:30 in the afternoon. Yes we are pathetic and crazy, but we decided you have to do it at least once. The tempatures through the night got below freezing, and the last time we check it was 22 degress. Ya, it was cold. We definalty decided that we are thankful for our family's that love us dispite our craziness, as well as for our warm homes especially our beds. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. We love you!!

Murder Mystery Party/OUR FIRST BLOG

On Saturday, Drew and I hosted a murder mystery party. We had 8 people there altogether and the theme was 1928 Chicago Speakeasy. It was a lot of fun! Unfortunately we didn't think to get a picture of ourselves, but we did get one of everyone else...
At the party we had Chicken alla Vodka, which was requested by Melanie Anne Weston. She's been talking a lot about alcohol lately for some reason.... just kidding.
Highlights of the evening were when Dan walked out of the bathroom with dollar bills falling out of his clothes (his character was a big gambler) and everyone's version of their characters.
It was a lot of fun, but we can only speak for ourselves.
